alicia's little thot at 8:22 PM
had a shopping trip today..
bought..
an optical mouse for my lappie..
printer ink from my printer..
2 shirts from Outfitters..
a book from Kinokuniya..
bread from Four Leaves..
that's all..
today's buys was kind of out of the blue..none of it was what i wanted to buy actually..well..except for the ink catridge..
the mouse was kind of attractive at 9 bucks..and i thought i had a great buy till i walked around and saw a nicer pink coloured mouse that costed 9.90..damn it..
i shouldn't have been so rashed in buying..or rather..i should have walked around more in Sim Lim..but then, the mouse lights up pretty nice with its blue lights..so it ain't that bad..
oh well..the mouse's not the main topic anyway..
the 2 shirts are..
and the shirts costed me a total of 35 bucks..a pink top that says 'i can resist anything except temptation' and a black top that says 'Born with style'..
and it's damn ex..but still i gave in and promptly made payment at the cashier..
call me a shopaholic..or some senseless shopper who happens to roam around with the intention to buy something..
arrgghh..
but my best buy of today has to be my new book that i am gonna embark on..
it's called 'Our Little Secret' by Tori Dante (2nd revised Edition)..
just happened to chanced upon it while browsing thru' the shelves at Kinokuniya..
had wanted to buy 'Eat Pray Love' but decided against it in the end..'Flowing like a River' was also not bad a read but in the end i got this..it is a true life account of sexual abuse by the author's father on her..and her many struggles in life even after many years have passed..
it's a little on personal fights against the many trials and obstacles in life and a little on God's helping hand..
i think i've definately made a good choice..
go check it out if you're free..
here's the pic..a little small but this is the only one i can find..cause' it's a 2nd revised edition..i guess the first edition's not available in Singapore..
Synopsis: (Courtesy of WHSmith.co.uk)
"Despite a privileged upbringing, the abuse she suffered at the hands of her father, a society photographer, meant Tori Dante's childhood was spent in the shadows of fear, loneliness and confusion. Even after leaving home, her life was ruined by feelings of rebellion and self-hatred which led her to search for ways to escape reality, and an inherent distrust of men made it difficult for her to form lasting relationships. Her healing began after she and her husband Cameron Dante - of the World Wide Message Tribe - committed their lives to Jesus. This is an astonishing story of God's power to heal broken lives. It has been written with the help of Premier Radio's Julia Fisher to inspire all readers, and will be of particular help to all who have suffered abuse themselves, or those who are close to them. This brand new edition of this deeply moving and powerful tale includes a Foreword from her husband, Cameron Dante and a new chapter by Tori herself, updating the story for new readers and those already familiar with the book. well..uploaded a few in friendster...can go check there..
this trip has been more than just shopping and food and sightseeing..
but before you think elsewhere..it ain't about sex la..stupid!!.. :P
it's about spending time together with him..with absolutely no thoughts for work or other people..just the 2 of us..
it was good..i can't really describe it well here..it's pretty much a new level of understanding for both of us..
:D
and guess what?..
i finally brought Mr. Cheng out for a dinner on Monday..
hee hee..and through my smartness and tactfulness..i managed to foot the bill..
when we finished our food..we were talking and he insisted on footing the bill..but i insisted to cause' it was my idea to give both of us a good treat..
and the chance came when his friend called..haha..i took my bag and told me i wanna head to the toilet..he nodded and continued talking on the phone..
i immediately grabbed a waiter and told him to settle the bill for the table..and promptly paid..
afterwhich, i went back and sat myself down before telling him that we should go walk walk..
haha..and he looked at me so blurly..
when i told me i had already settled the bill..he was like ???..
haha..he had actually called the bill when i went to the 'supposedly toilet'..but it never went to him cause' i already settled it..
and he was like still waiting and waiting..
haha..i won!..smart eh?
oh yeah..dinner was at Outback...haha..completely out of the list..the other places were too far and inconveniently located...very out of the way..plus, some do not serve beef...
well..maybe next time for the One Rochester..been itching to go there..but it's kind of out of the way and i seriously do not know how to get there anyway..
hmmm..enough of yakking for today..shall go wash my clothes..i have been procrasinating about it for the past few days..
byee...
