this is a farewell picture of my staff at office..



shankar had left for another company..Bee Khim too...both of their last day is on 31 Jan 08..which is sadly today..

it's sad to see people you work well with leaving..but if all is well or even better..than it's for the best..

wishing them both the best in their future endeavours and do take good care!

haha..we are kind of lucky to have 2 more persons in the pic..Mr and Mrs President.. :)

hee..

today, i got in touch with my ex-team-leader..he's finally back to the team from his overseas assignment..

it's good to have him back...cause' everything would be better..one way or another..he just has this 'leader' kind of thingy with him..

and there might come a chance for me to work with him again~hahaha..this one is secret..let you people know in due time..

hee...i am feeling a lot happier these days..cause' i am finally clearing the whole load of work...and my new partner is coming into action tomorrow!..so now, we can share the workload~

woohoo..the last week had been a little crazy..staying till 7 plus in the night...so it's really a good week this week...

and next week will be a long weekend of holiday..hee...

i've finally bought my CNY clothings le..2 dresses..one purple and one in red..can't wait to wear them though.. :)

and one more good news...baby's team won a Silver in the DragonBoat Competition today!..haha...so smart..

i am kind of proud of him some times, really.

like how he builds his body at gym and how he teaches people the correct techniques of using the gym equipments..

and how he would order food from the menu and the food would always taste extremely nice..some times so nice that i would be eating off his..

haha...sometimes i look back at the past and i am so glad i have baby with me now. he's like a blessing in disguise.

i love him lots and i am glad that he has created a beautiful year for me, provided me with a wonder present and will be moulding a good future for us..

though before i posted this, we had 2 major quarrells...i am glad that we have talked a lot of stuff out..

and for those of you who are curious..i am not gonna ROM this year..due to my future house and monies..we're gonna have it in......?

haha...keep guessing!

a number of people have asked me why...the above are my main reasons loh...it's not because of anything negative..

we just wanted more time to prepare ourselves monetary, physically (to be slimmer!), mentally..

and also for our families to be more prepared..

haha, more importantly, to get more ang-baos this year!haa...

it's a decision we both made together..so i dun think i wanna explain further..to you readers..it's just a date anyway..

to us, it's something that means more than that..it involves the beginning of a lot of things..

plus, having it next year has a wonderful meaning too...in terms of date..

we both feel good, so it is good!..

Mr Cheng and I celebrated our 1st year anniversary about a week back..

it was a simple dinner at Indulgz..hee..i suggested it cause' i am just so unknowingly addicted to it..for no apparent reason though..

ha..the food ain't very great..but simple and nice...a little cosy too..if you just want some little time together without loud music and great crowds..





the food..we had starters of the fried button mushrooms and cheese fries!..the mushrooms were very nice!!



the main..i had Portebello Burger..which is actually minced chicken meat with the big mushrooms..love it lots~


darling had the buttersteak steak..yummy too..but didn't understand why it was stated in the menu as not for the 'weak stomach'..


ended off the dinner with a Elvis Brownie and Vanilla ice-cream...sweet, hot and cold..

dear was very sweet though..he had a gift for me, my teddy and mum..
he bought my mum the 'Triflex' from GNC...had told him to buy since it's his birthday month and there was a 35% discount..but in the end, he said it was to 'pai my mama's ma pi'..haha

and he got my teddy 'bear vitamins'..haha...few days back while he was at GNC, he called me to confirm about the Triflex for my mum..then i just told him casually that he ought to get something for my teddy...cause' teddy is part of our family too..

and so, here i have..Bear Vitamins..haha..but i guess i am the one eating up the vitamins in the end..hee..but it ain't cheap also leh..checked the price and it was a whoping 28 bucks..

very ex...but dear still bought it..cause' it's vitamiins for bears..haha..thanks sweetheart.. :)


and the best gift would have to be this~


deardear took days to complete this bottle of folded stars for me..

it ain't something i would expect an adult to do..much less of a guy..but baby did it!..haha..i am so proud of him leh..he said there are altogether 365 stars in it..each representing our 365 days together..and he had 23 stars in it that supposedly had writings in them..but he mixed all up..

so, i guess i'll never see what's written in it..but it's very sweet of him doing it all by himself..he's such a treasure..

woohoo...today is a little special day..and tomorrow is a super special day..

why?

hee hee..because today is the eve of my anniversary with baby..and tomorrow marks our 1st Anniversary together..

super happy~...it's been a wonderful year and i am looking forward to more and more golden years ahead.. :D

baby..here's a advance Happy 1st Anniversary..i Love You and will always do..

wonder if he is planning anything special tomorrow..haha..i wasn't expecting much really..we are both busy..

what i really want is a good and cosy meal for the both of us..i didn't really get any gift for him..but i have in mind something small for tomorrow..so i shall go get it during lunch break tomorrow..hee

work since monday had been anything but free..been working OT till 7 plus for these two nights..haiz..i hardly have a chance to breath with the mountains of files that keeps piling and piling no matter how i clear..

i hope wednesday will be better..

well..being busy ain't such a bad idea too..since baby is working on these two days and i can kind of keep myself occupied..

oh, and there is no longer that TV motivation that keeps me going home before 9pm..cause' my channel 8 show, 'Huang Jin Lu' (The Golden Path) ended its run yesterday..

the ending wasn't that satisfying~..in the end, most people died..JinLong died, Kaijie died..and my Bak Kut Girl also died..

sad sad...i kind of like her character very much..errrgghh...

but it's just a show anyway..

but the thing about this show is the theme song..'Lu' (Road) by Mi Lu Bing..it's damn nice and just sticky to the mind..

so, i went to the music stall in hope of buying the CD for the song today during lunch break..

haiz..went with high hopes but went back with nothing..i saw the CD and the theme song was not featured inside..maybe it's specially written for the show ba..

wah biang..just when i wanted to support local music..

haha..alright..lappie batt is running low le..gotta go..byee..

oh yeah, and i've found a new Lunch Buddy, besides Kim and Bee Khim..

and that's Candy..my poly friend..haha..it's been nice eating and gossiping with her!..hee..

yesterdaywas a tiring day.

went to meet Edric in the morning for some stuff..then i went off to meet baby at AMK Hub..went to his home for some late lunch/ early dinner..

hee..something funny over lunch..his mama cooked this particular containing some prawns and a 'potato-look-alike' kind of vege..

i seriously don't know the name...but it's looks just like a potato yet tastes a little different..

and while i was munching on it..his mama told me about this particular vege..about it being a CNY kind of vege...

and...

haha..

before she ended the story, she told me it's for people who wanna have a baby, especially a boy!..haha...

is she hinting for me to have a baby soon?...haha...i already got one liao...Mr cheng lor..i call him my baby what..

haha...a real baby maybe in years years later ba..i am still enjoying my life...don't wanna start thinking about life in 3 when i am still having life in 2..

erm...but whoever wishes to have a baby boy..can contact him..i'll let you know the name of the plant!..haha

after the lunch...baby and i went to sleep and left in the evening to meet my agent ChingChing to view houses..

oh well..it wasn't much of what i expected..maybe i expect too much..

i viewed a total of about 4 houses..or was it 5?

don't know leh..forgot liao..too many also..

there are two that we both like..but there is one that i do not like the unit number..it ends with 1166..which means, in cantonese, everyday 'go down'..which also does not sound auspicious at all..

and guess what?..the owner of the unit 1166 is intending to sell his house cause' he's in great financial difficulties..coincidental or jus nothing?

the last unit was pretty alright..the size and feel of it all..but bad thing is..the owner is asking for 50k above valuation..whic means i'll have to fork out 50k in hard cash to buy the house and pay the rest 200k plus with HDB loan..

would i even bother to pay these much amount of money?..frankly speaking, NO.

i could jolly well spend the 50k, which is in cash, on furniture or household appliances..

the sellers these days are simply having BIG mouths indeed..

oh well..mr cheng and i are having an open attitude towards the housing thingy..cause' we've taken part in the build-to-order project @ Yishun and will see see and look look at the resale market first...if it's good, we'll go..if not, we'll see how it all goes ba..

a house is important..buying a house is not difficult..cause' there are always houses available..but what's most difficult is finding a good place that suits your budget and 'feel' to build a home.

hmmm...CNY coming liao..i haven't really bought my CNY outfits...though i have been to G2000's sales and bagging home my office clothes..

i ought to buy some nice new clothes..hee..

maybe next week shall go shopping~..and i supposed mr cheng's eyes will be opened pretty big at this last line cause' i'm supposed to save money?

this is a bit outdated..

hee..i had my annual xmas party on 4th Jan 2008..

it was difficult setting a date cause' everyone's working...and some are on shift..

but still, i was 'heng' enough to be able to organise it on 4th Jan 2008..since it was in year 2008..i named it the Xmas 2007 cum New Year 2008 Mini Gathering..

haha..kill two birds with one stone..maybe i should do that every year..haha

here are some pics..stolen from jul's cam..cause' my cam is buried somewhere in the closet..and i was busy pouring drinks and organising food..

thank god i took a whole day off..cause' buying the food and groceries already took me half a day..and sway sway, baby gotta go for some last min work, so i've jus gotta carry everything by myself..

but i am glad everything went well..

we had spaghetti, sushi from Ichiban, Italian Roast Chicken and chic/ beef/ pork sausages from Cold Storage..home-made mango with prawns by me! (1st attempt, alright only..but i'll improve it!)

plus a home-made choc fondue...haha..turned out pretty good..i bought strawberries, mango and banana to go with it...and credits to baby for buying the choc fondue some time back.. :D

the people who came are truly those whom i treasure and love..and i've got a guest appearance by Sara!!..thks to grace who brought her!




phylicia's husband and baby were both watching TV most of the time while the girls gossiped and opened pressies..haha..it's a girl's thing i guess..but the TV kept both the guys very entertained..

too bad jul's bf, ah qin, was unable to make it..you better come next year orh!!

very happie..i've gotten a kettle from grace!!!..haha..can use in my office...i was praying hard someone would give it to me though i nvr did really mention it to anyone..oh well..maybe grace..while we were chatting one day at the basement of Raffles City Chopping Centre..haha

thanks bestie, for getting the hint of my kettle..can i have an oven next year? we are best friends, right?..haha

jul got me an eye-mask to use with the Uzap..haha..so happie...now i can relax like mad at home..

and phylicia got me and baby a piggybank..so that i can save money..haha..baby, start saving money k...haha..

celebrated baby's birthday yesterday, 11 Jan 2008..

haha, i had planned a few surprises for him and everything turned out just the way i wanted!!..i managed to gave him the surprises he never thought of!

haha...below are the pics..

we met at Bugis in the evening for a dinner..he didn't know where we were heading to and thought it was jus the two of us..haha

his first surprise was a Mickey Mouse balloon...from me of course..hee...i booked the balloon weeks ago and thought it was a cute mini pressie...though i was thinking of flowers initially..

hee...bluffed him that we needed to wait for a friend of mine to pass him some work related stuff..haha..

but i had actually asked his friends out to celebrate his special day..

haha..3 of them in fact..all done secretly through the great help of Friendster!..haha..it really connects your friends!..haha

he kind of got a shock when he saw his best buddies turning up before him!..hee hee..thereafter, we went for a dinner at Indulgz..the bistro that was very much favoured by Xiaxue..

thank god i made a reservation...cause' the restaurant was kind of full..

towards the end of the diner, we had choc fondue...the manager knowing that it was baby's birthday, had lighted a candle for him and placed a 'happy birthday' wording plate on a marshmallow...



his birthday cake that i booked 3 days in advance..it's chocolate truffle...heard to be one of the bistro's signature cake...baby is old le..2 big candles and 6 small ones!



the cake was also a surprise..had initially thought the 'chocolates' to be truffles or something..but it turned out to be a cookie with the outer layer coated with choco..yumyum..baby love the cake~

baby got a botak haircut for his dragonboat training..hope he gets a trophy for me!



afterwhich, we all went for a movie..Dan in Real Life..it was supposedly to be a comedy about love at 40 plus and family and snatching your bro's gal..

but didn't quite like it though..very predictable plot and just, seriously, nothin' much..

after the movie, his 3 buddies went back home while we headed for a romantic time together..haha..

passed by Middle Road and we saw this cute centre's name..

it's called 'Egg Story Center'..haha, i have no idea what they are dealing with..but it sure sounds cute..











first and for most,

Happie New Year 2008..

haha, i know, i am a little late..as usual...

just suddenly had this mood to blog since every blog i've read is talking about the new year ahead..

spent my last moment of 2007 and first moment of 2008 with none other than mr cheng..haha, what you expect, i am gonna marry him soon le wat..so he's very important to me..

we spent the moments before midnight applying online for the build-to-order flats in Yishun Jade Spring...

good news is we are among the 700plus applying for it online..

bad news is, no matter how fast or slow you are...the deadline is 16 Jan 08..and the balloting is kind of decided by the HDB computers which would automatically compute out your ballot number..

but the worst news is, there are near to 900 applications as of now but there are only 336 units!

haiz..no wonder every acticle in the newspaper seems to be saying that resale flats are reaching a new high in the market..

this i really must agree, with my heart and soul and brains..it's kind of a sellers' market now, buyers just have to go along with the flow..and sometimes, the cash-over-valuation is just so crazily overpriced..some going 30 to 40k above valuation..

and here i am praying everyday that the prices would fall..not that i am hard up for a resale flat..but it just lives me and mr cheng with more options..

haha, ask me about HDB flats now and i can give you a clear picture of buying flats now..

well...new flats are good, considering that they are 'new'..who wouldn't want a new flat..especially since it comes with a Shelter..haha, that's kind of a big Pro..

but then, apart from the good stuff, new flats do have some considerable cons too..like how they are of a smaller sqm and a little of awkward shape they might be..also, newly built flats are now very much built in places like SengKang and Punggol..where you'll have to take the NEL and LRT..both without drivers somemore..

scary..i am a kind of person who would feel safe with a train driver..it's like, no matter what happens, you know the uncle is there..you know, someone who knows about trains..

and resale flats do have their pros and cons too..

good thing about resale is that it was built in the past where we seemed to have more land to spare, thus they are bigger in structure and more squarish, which is something i like.

i love houses with a square kind of shape, that's how a home should be like. you know, clearly defined areas and stuff..good for putting furniture and Fengshui..

but then, you'll never know of the real history of the house. so it's kind of a gamble..the previous owner might be alright..but how about the one before?

oh well, shall not dwell too much into it..

i went house-viewing on Monday with mr cheng..it wasn't exactly a house-viewing kind of thing..just that we went to view phylicia's and my future sis-in-law's house..

one's a resale and one's a build-to-order one..

it was kind of good cause' i could see for myself the difference..but then, i am still half here half there with what kind of a house we want..

but then, mr cheng and i have since came to a decision..hee..to apply for the HDB one first.. :D

since it's in Yishun and kind of a near-to-matured estate..

we even went to see the plot of land on monday too..haha..quite nice..but whether i am fated to get it a not is still another question mark..

alright, enough of houses..i think i am boring you out with all those stuff..this is supposed to be a New Year post..haha

hmmm..

i hereby wish all of my family members, friends, colleagues, ex-colleagues, readers a very Happie Happie New Year 2008..

May this new year be better in health, work and life than the previous year..

May all resolutions be fufilled and may everyone stay happy and young and may all things be smooth-sailing~

hee...i have only a few resolutions this year..i wonder if i am able to do it..i hope i do..cause' mr cheng gave me a Fitness First Calender that is supposed to aid me in my goals-building..haha

first one : to be a healthy person..to take my EPO on time daily and to take up Yoga!!

second one: to have a rising and successful career ($$$)

third one: to be prettier, slimmer and richer ...haha, with the assistance of Uzap, maybe?

well..these are my personal goals..but overall, i just hope for myself and everyone around me to be happy..

sorry if i had made you angry or pissed or irriatated...it might be on purpose..it might be unintentional..haha, whichever way, thousands of apologises..

oh ya, i have this one last one too..but i can't tell..cause' i think it's best kept between me and God..haha..

"baby, thanks for the memories for the past year 2007..it had in fact been a very meaningful year for us both..we've been through quite a far bit and experienced a lot of stuff together..especially during our overseas trip and the period where you were in Alpha and I was in Bravo..completely different schedules but still, we managed to make things work..

thanks for giving in to me all the time and loving me like a little princess..i feel very blessed to be with you..you had never once scolded me..in fact, you compromised a lot..

i really appreciated what you had done...from the little drawings of FF, to the pretty flowers to the choc fondue set you bought, to the alarm clock, to the Uzap...and also the proposal at Sentosa..thanks for everything you have planned for me..

and of course, it ain't all about material stuff..

it's also about the moments we laughed and knocked off in bed together..the times where we talked till we slept..the times where at Kembangan, the times we had BBQ..just the two of us..

we have achieved a lot this year as a couple..some people are even saying that we are so fast in planning to be married..

but we both know, it's more than that. well, people can always say what they want. frankly speaking, i don't care what others think cause' it's our future.

i am very looking forward to our year 2008 together where we will create more beautiful memories to keep in our hearts.

and i am also looking forward to our future together, our home and our agreement of 3..
