the weather is so hot these days..

the good thing is my clothes are dried at a super fast rate...it just takes about 6 to 8 hours to dry a piece of clothing i hand-washed..

the bad thing is it's making me feeling lethagic, lazy and super dehydrated..

say for now, i am supposed to be calling up my agency to check if they are open for the day and to get my butt down to collect my Taiwan tics..

but as i am now in my comfort zone (cosy sofa + super windy fan + music from laptop + surfing the net), i figured that it ain't such a good day to step out afterall.

and so, i have decided to stay put in Bedok and surf the net like mad and lazing myself around.

haa..that's a luxury in life!!..except that i may be causing the water bills to rise cause i have been drinking water like mad these 2 days..

and also i have been thinking about drinking Coke...it's like a fantasy in the hot weather...so, maybe later i shall just walk to the fridge and grab one..haha..am i lucky or what, there just so happen to be one in the fridge!

hee...

counting down..i am 4 days till flying off..i can't wait to hop on the plane...really!!

haha...but flight itself will take 6 hours though...since we are gonna transit at HK...decided against taking the direct SQ flight to Taiwan cause' it's gonna be $200 more...

ya, i know..only $200 ma...but you see...that would add up to $400 for both mr cheng and i..

erm fyi, we ain't rich people lor...my parents are not sponsoring anything lor...i don't have the luxury of having people pay for my air tics...all these money from beginning to end are all coming from our own pockets :)

on top of that, we can better utilise the money for shopping..

most importantly, i get to be in HK...haha..for a mere 1 hr though..

but then again, i have failed in my wish to be on a SQ...this is bad..i am a true Singaporean but i ain't having a chance to ride on that Singapore plane...

haha, maybe next time ba..i am sure i can be on my own home plane..

recently, i had dinner with a friend who kept talking about the calories of the food that she was gonna order...and after i made some comments that maybe we should order some yummy sinful food, she added that we should think about the calories and how much exercise we gonna do to burn it off..

i told her that eating is one thing, we can always burn it off another day...

it was kind of pissing me off at that time though..

all i wanted was a good dinner and all she really cared about was calories..oh well..of course i knew about calories..i had been on diets, big or small, more than she had lor...

ask me about diets and all those stupid diet supplementaries and i can have an hour talk with you lor..

sometimes, it's not that i do not know...it's just that sometimes, a good dinner with a long time friend beats calories in any way, any time.

there is really no need to go on that far, if you are so conscious about calories, then for god's sake and everybody's sake, be a vegetarian or try packing your own food whenever we dine outside!!

and for whoever's info...i ain't turning a blind eye to health issues lor..i recently took part in a health screening and signed on a $128 package to check on my health..

at the end of it, i received a file, a health booklet, a member card and a 10 over pages of the results of my health screening..

and i would say i am more or less certified healthy :)

i am of a healthy BMI, healthy red blood and white blood cells, health liver and kidney, healthy bones and all..it was a whole lot of stuff...

but the main thing is there's also a cancer marker test..and i am negative for it..

hee..i am happy..it's not 100% accurate i know...but at the least it gives me an insight on where i stood on the health scale..

but i am gonna try to lose 6 kg so as to have a better BMI... :)

so burgers and fries are out at the moment..damn :(




I am Stoned.

hee...Mr cheng bought me a new stone on Friday :)

hee hee...super duper happie..it ain't a diamond actually...it's actually a stone from Russia that is supposedly to bring good health and good wealth..

haha, there's also a secret we both share about it.. :)




hee...and we bought our wedding bands too..way in advance...haha..we haven't really sorted out a date to sign on the dotted line..but we were very kiasu to get the rings first..haha..

madness..sometimes i just think that mr cheng is as crazy as me..

but the main thing is..we both love it..it's a simple rose gold and white gold band with the Destinee diamond..hee

we bought it about a month or two back..when the gold prices were about to rise or just rising..but i would say it's a pretty good buy..hee hee..all thanks to phylicia! :)






think it's too small to be captured..but it's nice la..just what we both wanted.. :)




there's something i missed today..

being in the Force.

and i am beginning to wonder about a lot of stuff.

Shouldn't i be happier now than before?

but if i am, then why am i wondering about how life would be if i were still in Blue?

some thoughts are best brushed aside, or rather, chucked aside.

but not for this particular one.

am i glad that i am now having a five-days work with the Dell computer as my best friend and the books and files as my best buddy?

i think i would be happier if i were to work from 8am to 10pm and 8pm to 10am.

and i would be happier doing shift returns, munching my curry buns in the night, eating my Cambridge nasi lemak in the mornings and running 2.4 km every 3 days with my team-mates shouting for me from behind.

yes, i really miss those times. those days where i had team-mates who played together, ate together, fought together, ran together, slept together and called each other weird nicknames.

i miss those days where i found friends in colleagues and colleagues in friends.

i miss you, team bravo.




Singapore Flyer (13.04.2008 Sunday)

last sunday was a happy sunday..heee...after months of waiting..mr cheng finally brought me to the Singapore Flyer!..finally i was on that BIG ferris wheel..

and the best part is the tics are free..haha..dear got them free from his workplace...it's some welfare thingy..thus we saved on $60 to have a eagle's eye view on Singapore.. :)

actually, we didn't really know where the flyer was located but we decided to try to walk there since it's very visible from Suntec..and we were right..walked for about 10mins and we reached..






haha, once in a lifetime ma..so must pose pose like tourist!

ticks~..haha..i should say free tics..it's rather expensive if singaporeans were to purchase tics to go up on the wheel..it would cost about $30 for an adult..the trip is about 30mins..so, it's like $1 for a minute..

before going to the wheel..they have this Kodak people who would take a pic for you..and at the end of the ride, if you are interested..you could purchase it at $15 per 8R..hee..

the effect of the pic is rather good though..it would feature you in the capsule..hee..so baby and i bought one in the end..


footwear..love my slip-ons...cheap and comfy..my first time wearing them but no blisters or whatsoever~

realised my face and nose looked swollen..due to the flu i had..but thank god i bought Lemsip before going to the flyer..Lemsip is damn good eh..it works!!..it stops the flu, clears the blocked nose without making you feel irriatated, noosy, drowsy or having any stupid shitty feeling..

it makes me feel normal, unlike stupid Panadol Flu which does not really work. Trust me, i am a person who would catch a flu/ cold/ sneeze every 3, 4 days..




we managed to take couple pics all thanks to an uncle who wore grey shirt..haha, he even told us to pose pose and stand at a corner where there's a better view..

the on-going construction for the Sentosa thingy...we went about 5plus in the evening..thus, the sky kind of changed color halfway..

saw some adverts and i think the night view is much more beautiful..

for those of you who are intending to go..please do bring a good camera..to make the $$ worth it..but really, the view is worth taking pics of..my pics are rather ok only cause' i used a 2mp hp cam..in fact it's not even a good presentation of what the view should be.. :)

haha, for those who read his blog, you should have known how much we ate..haha

dear ordered a family meal costing $28 for both of us..haha..8 pieces of chicken and we finished all of it..not to mention the meal includes a whipped potato, a coleslaw and popcorn chicken too..

haha, big eaters..

and the night before, while eating out at 'Dian Xiao Er', dear ate 3 bowls of rice for dinner..

Happy Sunday...30/03/2008..

i had a happy and fun Sunday last weekend..with none other than my bestie Grace!!

haha...

it's simply unbelievable how we could talk for a whole day and yet still SMS each other after we said good-bye..haha..there's not a doubt about our 13 year friendship :)

hee..we started off the sunday with a buffet brunch at Pump Room..haha..this pub at Clarke Quay is amazing..it's a pub by the night and it's a makan place for buffet..

totally surprised by the pub's management to do so...and i wouldn't have known about it if grace haven't read about it in some papers.. :)


i took this in the toilet..the toilet is very pretty..but too bad, when i wanted to snap the surroundings..there was this ang-mo lady in it..



happy happy!!


the buffet bruch was rather worth it though..
we paid $45 per pax ($38+++) for a main course..free flow of soft drinks, starters and deserts..haha, they have fondue too!

second serving of starters...if you people ever go there, please refrain from taking the cheese..
it's horrible..errgghh..
the second left cheese tastes like melted plastic (totally a big turn-off)..the third from the left tastes a bit fungy..

the sixth from the left tastes absolutely like expired cheese..it's smelly, sticky and simply disgusting!...haha, in the end, we didn't even finish the cheese..left it as it is..


my main course...some grilled chicken with avocado...was alright though i find the chickie a tad too hard..

haha..to think i gave up my favourite portobello for this...maybe next time i'll go for the portobello instead..haha..big mushroom!


grace had a duck thingy..it's nice~..i love it~


haha..our 3rd serving of starters with main...


and finally..deserts!...

the meal was very worth it though..we ate from 12 plus till about 2 plus and went shopping the whole day without feeling hungry at all!..haha..the meal lasted us the whole of sunday..

haha..we went on a crazy spree also..

went to the Body Shop Warehouse Sale at Suntec City..grace blew $150 on shower creams..shower gels..

haha..after the sale, we hopped on a bus to Far East Plaza..

we bought shoes for ourselves..it was rather cheap eh...mine was only $13..hee :)

then..we ended off the day with a pedicure and manicure...and some weird strands of highlight :)

haha...note the picture below...see pink highlights on grace?..haha, mine's purple and hidden well inside my hair!..

and i really have no idea how we went so crazy lor..





and that's the blog post for my happy sunday..so happy to talk to her..cause' i don't have to pretend to be nice or courteous..we can just talk bad about people and gossip..haha..

and we are planning to go Batam this weekend for massage~...woohoo..hope it turns out good!

hee..and now for a super duper happy news..

mr cheng gave me a big surprise yesterday~


haha..mr cheng bought me a PSP Slim leh..haha..ok, not totally for me..he said that we are supposed to share but i can bring it to and fro work so that i won't feel bored..

hee..happy happy..it's piano black in colour..deardear bought it yesterday but he says he will only pass it to me later..cause he's gonna load in some games..haha
