it's near to 2am and i am still wide awake..

baby left just awhile ago and i'll be seeing him in 6hrs time...cause' he'll be fetching me from home..

and we'll be off to our little holiday..

yeah..to BKK..

finally some good shopping and time away from WORK!!..

it's been a long time since i could shed off all workload off my shoulder and go have a real wonderful time..what's more is that this time i am spending good time off with him..

call it luck or simply blessed..but we definately got more than lucky when we decided to go on this trip just about a month ago..and having book the tics just 2 weeks ago..

unbelievable i would think to myself at times..it's fast how time flies..just like that..

soon, i'll be blowing candles off my 24th birthday cake..

it's amazing how fast time goes by when you hit 20..day by day month by month..it wouldn't be long before i am at Christmas again..

anyway..dad and mum are both at home..i guess dad came back cause' it's my last night at Singapore before i depart for BKK..as for mum, i think she chose to stay at home for good..

guess both of them had wanted to have dinner with me before i am on the trip..but i guessed it was too late..cause' i only finished work at 2330hrs..

and baby was like waiting for me to knock off for the longest time ever too..well, not really the longest time..the longest was midnight~

me and my work..neverending..

oh well~..no more work..

holiday!!..

haha..bye people..gotta go continue packing my luggage...it's super light cause' i intend to go light and come back with plenty of stuff!!..haha..i think i am gonna make Mr. Cheng very broke~...oops~ :P

p/s: grace and jul..sorry i was pretty busy for the past 2 weeks..it was a hectic 2 weeks..we'll meet up soon when i am back k..promise i'll get you gals pressie!!..love you both!

i am kind of checking out a places to bring my baby out for a good sumptous dinner..the food and atmosphere is important..cause' i don't wanna end up going to a place where i have to bear with the heat and get lots of smoke around me..

money's kind of secondary here..since i wanted both of us to have a good meal after such a hectic 2 weeks about lots of things...

i've kind of short-listed a few but i ain't gonna say which one i've decided..cause' i have this feeling that he checks my blog every now and then..(right, baby?)

haha..here are a few:

1) One Rochester http://www.onerochester.com/home.htm
tel: 67730070

not bad eh..opened from 6pm to 1am everyday..sats till 2am..

located at No. 1 Rochester Park..(dun ask me where is it cause' i am still figuring out..

menu is mainly on creative exotic food..with nice but difficult to pronounce names..haha..'Confit de Canard' (Cripsy Skin Duck), 'Pollo Ala Espana' (Oven baked Cornish Game Hen)..

2) Flutes at the Fort http://www.flutesatthefort.com.sg/home.asp
located at Fort Canning..near the ROM place..
opened from 12pm to 2pm for lunch and 6.30pm to 10pm for dinner..

apparently, they serve fresh flavours in a romantic environment..but you've gotta be in smart casual..plus they close early at 10 too...servings look small by the way..might not be a good run for money cause' i might just end up being hungry very soon..

3) Just Steak http://food.asia1.com.sg/revamp/gdfd/fea_20050418_002.shtml
located at #01-42 The Riverwalk20 Upper Circular Road, Tel: 6438-5522
open for dinner only..

saw it a few times whenever i went passed that area..it looks pretty good..but they do not have a webbie on their own..so this is a link to a review done in 2005..from the outside, it looks pretty good...cosy and comfy..that's what i am kind of looking for..and the location is very centralised too..won't lose my way for sure..

4) The Tavern Pub & Restaurant http://www.tavern.com.sg/
located at 227-229 River Valley Road.near to Mohd Sultan and UE Sq..
open from dinner daily from 6pm to 10pm..

..and it offers Swiss and Continental cuisine..sounds pretty good..

some signature dishes..Roast Prime Rib of Beef ..Raclette Cheese served with air-dried beef, Pan-fried Fresh Goose Liver, Australian Grain-fed Rib-Eye Steak, Slice Veal Zurich Style served with Roesti potato...

looks good eh..never knew this place existed..haha

5) Fuenti Restaurant
no pics for that..and they do not have a webbie too..but i heard they are pretty well-know for Italian food..located at #01-61 UE Square (corner of MohammedSultan Road and Unity Street)207 River Valley Road

Tel: 6333-8875

'Available at $28+++ per person, the dishes do not contain any salt, pepper, butter, wine, cream or cheese, and are cooked with healthy methods like grilling and boiling. '...

6) No SignBoard Seafood Reataurant..
located somewhere at Geylang..but the bad thing is that i can't really eat crabs..so it's a little pointless..plus, it's a far cry from the above-mentioned places cause' it ain't air-conditioned or anything..haha..but nevertheless, this was put up for the benefit of you people..haha..go try it out..it looks good..or at least that's what people claim..

7) Buckaroo B.B.Q Grill
12-B Andrews Ave (off Sembawang Rd)
Tel: 6754-2621

i don't really know where..but heard it's famous for it's grilled food..American styled..cheap and good and big-portions!

8) Chijmes...
A few nice places to eat and chill out..but i am not exactly sure which one's good..

any recommendation, anyone?...

Listening to : 'Have you ever?'
By: S Club Seven

Sometimes it's wrong to walk away,
though you think it's over
Knowing there's so much more to say
Suddenly the moment's gone
And all your dreams are upside down
And you just wanna change the way the world goes round

Tell me, have you ever loved and lost somebody
Wished there was a chance to say I'm sorry
Can't you see, that's the way I feel about you and me, Baby
Have you ever felt your heart was breaking
Lookin down the road you should be taking
I should know, cos I loved and lost the day I let you go

"thank you for the 6 wonderful years that went past..
sorry for the fact that i never once regretted the day i let you go..
sometimes, i really think i owe you one big apology but then, i guess it's pointless anyway."

these days, maybe i think too much.

i saw him once again yesterday..

but i am glad that everything's finally over and moving' on..

i knew it the moment i saw him..cause' there's no more of any emotions or questions or even tears..no more hard feelings or whatever shitty stuff you call it.

it's like an emotion-less moment..like all the questions i once had no longer existed and mattered..

remember i once said that time is what people need to mend a broken heart..

'one day, this love song would be just another ordinary song'..

very true indeed...that particular love song have already been an ordinary song since a long time ago...seeing him again does not bring back any memories i would say..

it's more like a 'strangers' kind of feeling..which ain't such a bad idea..it's always better to walk away like strangers than to look at each other and be reminded of how close you were..

i know i shouldn't be blogging about such stuff but i seriously don't find it such a bad idea..cause' i am moving on from that chapter of life..

:D

i know this sounds weird..but i am kind of sounding like someone who had fought a good battle and emerged a better person..

fought a good battle?..haha..maybe yes maybe no..but definately a test of my emotion limits..
emerged a better person?..still trying though..

there are always things that i have been procrasinating and things that i've always prioritised to my own accord..give me some time ya..i'll sort it all out.talking about time..we're like 3 months into year 2007..

there hasn't been much changes these 3 months..but out of the blue, i find myself all grown up and matured..not that i have been childish or hot-tempered or kiddo-like..

but this new year..i just realised that i could handle people and situations better and with tact..
no longer that hot-blooded over-aged youth..

even my thinking has taken a turn too..like how i take things on a more serious note now..like how i think further than i used to..like how i plan ahead now..and muster up courage to face up to harsh reality and tough choices in life..

and how i made myself more open to a lot of possibilities and new challenges out there..i've learnt also to give up certain things to make people better..make situations good...
and in all..i think it's good that i am feeling this. it's time i feel this way too.

you know, that kind of thing of you feeling good that everything you've been doing and working hard for are finally taking it's form and place in life..

haha..i sound old..don't i?a little i must say..haha..

on a cheerie note..

i think i am kind of addicted to hotdog bread recently..i just think they are simply yummie and good~..and i even ate that for my lunch and dinner few days back..haha..'hotdog' mania..

and i am gonna go Bangkok again!..hahaha..holiday~...

i seriously can't wait for the day to come..think of shopping and food and massages!..i've about 2 weeks more to departure..haha..

and i kind of missed Mr. Cheng today, for no apparent reason. well..these are the sort of things people say when they are in love. oh well~

as you can see..i have got nothin much to blog today..was in a damn mood to blog yesterday but blogger was down..and today, when i layed my hands on the keyboard..there just ain't any inspirations to write a poem or pen down some long over-due thoughts..

well..i guess i'll have to end this post abruptly. many things are left undone and the weekend's gonna be super busy..so, expect to see me next week here..

alright. good nite.

finally, i have time to blog some long long entry..

was down with sinus+flu since yesterday..even had the feeling that fever's on the way too..but thank god..everything's gettin' better..

and i just had my 'end-of-chinese-new-year' dinner wif my parents..mum cooked good food..

there was (sambal prawns+small abalone), (stewed sea cucumber+mushrooms+chestbuts)..yummie is the word..simply best..

alright..enough of 'nothin's much happening in life'..cause' the past one week has been good..

was out with Mr. Cheng a few days back...went to catch the movie 'The Protege' at PS..and Daniel Wu was god damn handsome..haha..I LOVE HIM..a lot a lot!!

here's the link to the webbie..interesting website..http://www.protegethemovie.com/en_main.html

the movie does remind me of Infernal Affairs..the 3-part Hong Kong movie starring Andy Lau and Tony Leung..

but 'The Protege' was not bad a movie..would give it 3.8/5..there's just some missing elements that i can't put into words..

but overall, it was good..or rather, watching it with Mr. Cheng was good.haha..feels good to have someone warm your hands when you're freezing from the ever-decreasing temperature of the cinema's air-con..

anyway..nothin much on that day though..i was clearing my extra hours while it was Mr. Cheng's 1st off day...had a walk after the movie and talked loads that i can't really remember..

and we didn't really know where we were walking to as well..but we eventually ended up around Zion Road vicinity before deciding to hail a cab to head home at 2am..

and out of that much talking..we came up with something surprising..haha..will let you guys know in due time..

yup..moving' on..yesterday was a super-rushy day..but i managed to accomplish a lot of stuff and met a lot of people..

started my day off with making of nametags at Beach Road..waited like an hour for the tags..cause' the shop people was busy and there were just too many annoying army boys buying their camp stuff..

super crowded and the weather was ultra hot..plue i was having a flu, everything was just irriatating..imagine feeling hot and sweaty and sneezing your way through everything..arrgh..

but...i still survived it all..

the nametags turned out good..not that there were any patterns or that it's gold-plated..but when you look further down later, you'll get what i mean..and no peeping..hey hey..i spent like an hour posting this super long entry..so the best you can do is to give me some credits for my writing instead of just browsing thru' the pics..

oh, and back to the topic..after the tags, went to Bugis to get some roses for my cousin..haha..she gave birth liao..to a sweet baby boy Elijah Sim on 02/03/2007..

and so after the flowers..went to buy some strudel from Ritz..the strudel was damn nice man..they had strawberry, apple, mango flavours..so yummie..

and after buying all of this and a big big pack of tissue to last me for the whole day of flu, i went to KKH..

haha..my nephew was super duper cute..he smiled at me liked a few times..and was looking at me with 1 of his eyes..haha..guess he was tired to open the other eye..too bad, no pics of him..i was having a bad flu and didn't wanna get too near to him..

babies are such treasures...

but worry not, the maternal instincts are not roaring within me..i am just not that into babies and children yet..

and after visiting them, i dropped by to pass Mr. Cheng his nametags and strudel..

and lastly, meeting at Ang Mo Kio Central with grace..yea, it sounds weird i know..2 females in their 20s hanging around AMK?

haha..was supposed to go shop for some nice clothes at a 'Auntie' shop...well, we did..spending near to an hour at the shop and a total of 60 bucks on burmudas, pants and skirts..

it's a good bargain thou..the shop was having a closing down sale..and we managed to grab good bargains..haha..our 'auntie' shopping..

and i still remember the both of us telling each other how much we hope people would NOT recognise us..haha, it's nothin to be ashamed about but it's just 'pai seh' to be caught in the midst of searching for good buys..haha..if you're a gal, you know what i mean..haha

and so, thereafter, went to other shops before resting our feets at the open-spaced area to have our usual gossipy chit-chatting session..yea, we can still talk a lot despite talking a lot a few days back and being kind of exhausted from the walking..

last but not least, we watched 'Just Follow Law' at Jubilee..

would rate it 3/5 though..for the sake of Fann Wong and hearing her shout 'Na-bei'..haha..kind of worth it..

except that the plot just seems very familiar to a Hong Kong movie i watched a few years back..
but then, i love how the show talks about civil service in general..very true indeed..especially the quotes..

haha..shall not comment much here..

the show was good..expecially so when i have my best friend by side..and a Coke and popcorns in hand.. haha..

oh yeah, before the auntie shopping..me and grace went for dinner at a chinese eatery at Jubilee..at the second level i think..

here are the pics..food was alright..menu is very much Taiwanese style..with the bubble teas and chinese snacks..pricings are alright too.. :P

grace and her big cuppa of Mango Snow..

Ma La Mee Sua with chicken..the soup's nice~

'Guo Tie'...dumplings pan fried style..

salad you tiao..

golden pillow...some chunky soup thingy in fried bread toast..

after so much of writing and pics, i feel damn good man..
it's been a long time since i talked this much and posted so much pics and feel so damn happie..
haha..remember how at times i would post up a pic and call it 'the pic of the day'?

today's no exception..
here's my pic of the day..

and i love him so...

p/s: the background of the pic is Mitch Albom's 'The 5 persons you meet in Heaven'..it's a good read..you guys should check it out if you have not..i am currently back to 'The Tenth Circle', and it's saddening to see that i'm still left with 180 pages to go before the end..arrgghh..i am gonna go
read up liao..so that i can start on a new book that i am eyeing..haha..
