can you imagine a gal jumping about in her own house with a teddy in hand?

haha..no imaginations further..i just did.

it was over something worth rejoicing!...i told mr cheng about it and he was happy too..

can't wait for September to come..but at the same time, i hope it ain't that fast either. my project's due in the first week of Sept and i am flying off to HK in the second week of Sept..flying off is good..but it isn't that great when i have to save up more money..

i have saved enough to pay for the trip expenses of hotel and flight..but my shopping money is only half-way through!..all my fault for buying and buying so much stuff online..in the past 2 weeks, i bought like 2 tops and a bra online..

and that was in a day and after giving myself some time to think about HK..

i was so crazy that i nearly blew near to a hundred bucks on dresses and tops from Wetseal and ASOS..

and now i've really gotta save more..just chunked out 70 bucks from my coins savings bank..so that will go towards HK too..

and i am still lacking of 500 over bucks..which means i am gonna allow myself to only spend 200 bucks till the next payday..

:

i'll try..anyway.

yesterday, mr cheng and I had some couple time together and decided to make use of the time to do some cooking..

the result was pretty good..the food was average but the whole process of buying food and groceries and cooking them at home just makes the whole 'couple thingy' so worth it..

we had dou miao, sambal prawns and a yong-tau-foo/dumpling soup..

we took about an hour to cook theses three dishes..and poor mr cheng..he had to help me stir the sauces and put in the ingredients here and there..not forgetting to give him credit for cooking the soup and wrapping the dumplings..

hey, but i did the cooking too..by frying the veges, cooking the prawns and rice..and marinating!!

it was messy fun though..i ain't a born cook..plus i am lazy and do not cook often..and it was my first time cooking vegetables!..haha..thank god everything went alright..though the veges seemed a little overcooked..

haha..but we did enjoy this simple cooking affair together.. :D

and yesterday, i used a new found sambal chilli sauce in NTUC..found it not bad though..and it goes just nice with the prawns..

here's the ultra simple and fast prawns fare..

Ingredients:
20 normal grey prawns (peeled)
one clove of garlic
2 tablespoon cooking oil
Singlong Sambal Balacan Chilli (2 tablespoons)

the thing about this recipe is that everything is linked to the number '2'..so do cook it with your loved one!

first, heat up the pan

then, add in the garlic..

wait for awhile, till you smell the nice garlic fragrance..

then add in the prawns..stir stir a bit..

and then add in the chilli sauce..stir somemore till the prawns are mixed well with the sauce..

then add a little water and stir somemore..

and then, you can serve on plate..

**this is a super fast recipe..preparation takes about 10 to 15 mins..depending on how fast you peel the prawns..for my case, mr cheng did the peeling while i did the chopping..

cooking itself takes about 5mins..

so total time is about 15 to 20mins..

if you're a 'lao jiao' in cooking..think 10 mins also can liao..haha...i am still a newbie at cookery..

btw, the sambal chilli is currently on offer now at NTUC..selling at S$1.95.. :D

and this ain't turning into a 'auntie' blog lor..i am putting the recipe here cause' it tastes good and is beneficial for a newbie like me..haha..this is still a 'hip' blog.. :P

and so, shall end here liao..byee..

'Tampines Korean Love Story @ Pizza Hut'
starring Mr. Cheng and Me..
Film shooting @ Tampines, Pizza Hut @ 1830hrs..
Produced and Directed by Alicia Yang..

the chicken soup was very nice..had chunks of chicken pieces in it..was creamy too..

the rest of the pics are the food we had..

2 glasses of Pepsi..my fav.

we had the Cheese Fondue thingy..not bad..but the fondue is way too salty..guess it's in the cheese inself..can't be changed..another thing though, the mozerella cheese bites at the side was kind of hard too..but overall was a cheesy affair..would rate it 6/10..

the chicken niblets..

the side platter..love the criss-cross fries and the sweet and spicy drumlets.. *thumbs up!!
and so with this, it marks the end of the 'Tampines Korean Love Story @ Pizza Hut'...
do stay tune for the second episode..haha..
after the dinner, we went to watch 'Rush Hour 3' at Cathay..or was it Eng Wah?
anyway, it was not bad also..but the funny parts were all screened on TV so there wasn't much of a surprise or anything fanciful..
the day was great..and as you can see, the photos were all edited by Photoshop..haha..
but still, i am kepping my fingers crossed that Mr. Cheng will sponsor me to Korea next Year!!..
haha..was sick and running a high fever yesterday morning..thank God dear was around and brought me to see doctor, fed me medicine and food..he even let me sleep on his lap for like an hour while he watched boring channel 8 shows and ended up sleeping on the couch too..
he's just so wonderful..
before i say goodbye..here's my favourite guy and his Pizza..
i love him lots..

thanks baby for everything..you made it all possible!! :P

National Day..

despite the BIG crowd and lots of running about here and there..i managed to watch the Fireworks at Esplanade area last night..

it was great..with friends and mr cheng..we had a good space and though the view was a bit far, it was as good and as near as we could get..

beside this, i also managed to eat some cold fast food with them before the fireworks began..

and after all these, mr cheng and i headed to eat some porridge at home before heading to bed..

it wasn't all that great towards the end though..was having this bad menstrual cramp that was simply killing me..

it was so terrible that i had difficulties walking about..even the word 'painful' is an understatement..maybe it's normal or maybe something's not quite right..i don't know..but i am thinking that it's normal, it better be..

and so, upon reaching home, mr cheng volunteered to buy the porridge while i did some laundry..

the porridge was good though..he bought a porky porridge and a 'pi dan' porridge..i suddenly forgot the english name for 'pi dan'..think it's preserved egg, is it?

anyway, it was yummy..well, the porridge was alright though..didn't find it that nice...it's the famous Chai Chee Porridge that everyone comes to Bedok Blk 85 market to eat..maybe i've been eating for the past 20 over years, so the novelty kind of rubbed off me..

but eating with him made it all good..went to sleep after the porridge cause' i was simply tired and he was simply exhausted too..

poor boy..he even had to work morning shift today while i am at home lazing and resting..but not exactly feeling all good though..the cramps are back for the 4th day today and i took like 4 panadols..

sometimes, i just wish i'm like one of those gals who can have a peaceful mentrual period..no PMS, no cramps or any of that shit..just plain Blood.

oh well..i think it's getting disgusting in here..

anyway, i think the stressful days are back once again..it's the comeback of 'Project Time' and it's due in September..before i hop on the plane..

well..i've got a few ideas here and there..

but, i am not gonna touch on projects here..it's simply boring..

back to some other topic..

i went out with candy and dayana over the last weekend..but photos gotta wait cause' it's all in candy's camera..we took a few silly pics though..funny stunts, you should see them when i upload it..simply hilarious..

we had a sumptous dinner at the Riverside Indonesian Restaurant..guess we kind of ordered too much though..had a set dinner for 4 persons when there were only 3..but it was worth it..ten odd dollars per pax and you have curry, fish, sotong, otah, vegetables..

and free flow of rice!..haha..i should bring mr cheng there one day, he loves to eat rice..he's such a real cheena guy~..haha..

oh yeah, and the 3 of us caught 'Perfect Stranger' in Cathay..the seats were pretty good!...too bad we were too full for popcorns..i loved popcorns..especially the really yellow-coloured ones that are so sweet and crunchy...sinful indulgence but satisfying.. :D

the show was alright..the actors and actresses' performances were alright though..it does not really have that sort of 'peak time' during the movie where you stay tight in your seats..but the ending was good..it was only till the end that the unexpected becomes reality..

and it's like 'what you thought it is turned out to be otherwise instead'..and you would think and 'ahhh' to yourself about how the title really fitted the movie when they start playing the credits..

not bad a show but i would recommend you to watch it on vcd or dvd instead..would give the show 3/5..for Halle Berry and the story plot..

but i would definately not recommend this show to any pretty bimbos out there..it's too intellectual a movie for bimbos..

when the show ended..candy, dayana and me were in the lift when a bimbo started talking about the movie and commented that she does not understand the movie and that the story was so complex and complicated..

it's either she's not paying attention (maybe she's hanky-panky-ing with her bf in the cinema..don't blame me for saying this, but bimbos are like that what..) or she's kind of intellectually challenged..

or maybe we're too old and smart..

oh well..

back to movies..there's recently movie starring Jay Chou..apparently he composes the plays the music and songs in it too..

wonder if it's nice..anyone who caught it, do let me know..i'm kind of curious about it cause' the title sounds not too bad..it's called 'secret'..

everyone has secrets..just a matter of good or bad and how dark the secret gets..

btw, i saw someone from the past just few days back..the feelings are no longer the same..i am cool and calm..the particular someone no longer revoke any sort of feelings in me..

it's all over, i supposed?..those long nights and tears-filled moments..and i think it's good that i still can't find the answers to some questions..there ain't any purpose in finding those answers anyway..'what you don't know won't hurt'..

what i already knew have hurted quite a far bit, so i guess there isn't such a need to know more than i should..

'a mistake to begin with
what more had i asked for?
what more do i get?
sometimes when you walk till the end of the road
there ain't better way than to say goodbye and part
i don't have a choice, do i?
when i started asking,
i get no answers but echos from the walls
i started filling in the blanks with tears
till the tears run dry and sorrow starts filling in instead.
are you happier now?
i no longer care.
it's not as if you cared if i am.'

On 1st August 2007...mr. cheng and i went down to Cheenatown to book our HK tics..and so it's decided that we'll be away for a week to HK..flying via Cathay Pacific and staying at the hotel by the name of Majestic Hotel along Nathan Road..we've initiallly wanted Nathan Hotel but apparently it's fully booked..

but this is not bad too...our 2nd choice..it's between 2 MTR (i forgot the exact name but it's their form of our MRT)..location is also near the famous Pasar Malam 'Ladies Market' where shopping is high priority!..

haha..i'm a happy gal and mr cheng's a happy boy..but the trip set us back by about S$900 per pax..which works out to about S$1800 in total..and including Disneyland which we intend to go y ourselves..it would set us back by about 2k..

well..it's not everyday that we would go to HK..

the trip was a little subsidised by some benefit scheme that our company has..so after the benefit thingy, it's about S$740...not too bad though..for a week away at HK..if we knew about this benefit thingy earlier..should have gone for 8..or maybe 9 days?

haha..i ain't crazy lor..when i spoke to jul about the trip..she told me her family went for a total of 10 days last year!..haha..we're all crazy shoppers aren't we?..

and i've already planned which luggage to bring..what clothes to wear..what bags to bring to lug back all the purchases..

looks 'kiasu'?..no..it's only a month away...and i can't wait for the day to come!..i've been kind of saving money here and there so that i could have the biggest shopping spree...

well..i've gotta go plan the itinery liao..i planned halfway the other day...

so, to keep you entertained a little more..here are pics of the hotel that i got from this great webbie..www.kktravel.com

it's good cause' it has pics from several different angles so you can guage for yourself how big or small the room is..mine's a little small cause' the land on Nathan Road is expensive..so hotels can only best maximise their profits by building smaller rooms...

the hotel has a gym!..haha..mr cheng can go work out while i shop!
