alicia's little thot at 1:00 PM

yesterday, mr cheng and I had some couple time together and decided to make use of the time to do some cooking..

the result was pretty good..the food was average but the whole process of buying food and groceries and cooking them at home just makes the whole 'couple thingy' so worth it..

we had dou miao, sambal prawns and a yong-tau-foo/dumpling soup..

we took about an hour to cook theses three dishes..and poor mr cheng..he had to help me stir the sauces and put in the ingredients here and there..not forgetting to give him credit for cooking the soup and wrapping the dumplings..

hey, but i did the cooking too..by frying the veges, cooking the prawns and rice..and marinating!!

it was messy fun though..i ain't a born cook..plus i am lazy and do not cook often..and it was my first time cooking vegetables!..haha..thank god everything went alright..though the veges seemed a little overcooked..

haha..but we did enjoy this simple cooking affair together.. :D

and yesterday, i used a new found sambal chilli sauce in NTUC..found it not bad though..and it goes just nice with the prawns..

here's the ultra simple and fast prawns fare..

Ingredients:
20 normal grey prawns (peeled)
one clove of garlic
2 tablespoon cooking oil
Singlong Sambal Balacan Chilli (2 tablespoons)

the thing about this recipe is that everything is linked to the number '2'..so do cook it with your loved one!

first, heat up the pan

then, add in the garlic..

wait for awhile, till you smell the nice garlic fragrance..

then add in the prawns..stir stir a bit..

and then add in the chilli sauce..stir somemore till the prawns are mixed well with the sauce..

then add a little water and stir somemore..

and then, you can serve on plate..

**this is a super fast recipe..preparation takes about 10 to 15 mins..depending on how fast you peel the prawns..for my case, mr cheng did the peeling while i did the chopping..

cooking itself takes about 5mins..

so total time is about 15 to 20mins..

if you're a 'lao jiao' in cooking..think 10 mins also can liao..haha...i am still a newbie at cookery..

btw, the sambal chilli is currently on offer now at NTUC..selling at S$1.95.. :D

and this ain't turning into a 'auntie' blog lor..i am putting the recipe here cause' it tastes good and is beneficial for a newbie like me..haha..this is still a 'hip' blog.. :P

and so, shall end here liao..byee..
